1. Data we collect. We collect the account information you provide (email, name, optional phone and address), the activity you take on the platform (browsing, listings, orders, messages, bids, reviews) and basic device and network metadata necessary to deliver the service.
2. How we use your data. We use your data to operate the marketplace, complete orders, verify sellers, prevent fraud, deliver multilingual communications and improve the product. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Sharing. We share order data with shipping partners, payment data with payment processors and tax-related data with applicable authorities. We use a small number of operational vendors (analytics, error tracking, email) under standard data-processing agreements.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising. We use essential cookies for authentication, session continuity and cart state. With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising technologies — including the Meta (Facebook) and TikTok pixels and their server-side Conversions and Events APIs — to measure and optimize our marketing. These may set cookies and receive limited event data (such as pages viewed, items added to cart and completed purchases) together with technical identifiers (for example a hashed email address, IP address and device or browser information) used for advertising measurement and matching. They load only after you accept our cookie banner; you can decline, or withdraw consent at any time, and essential cookies will keep working. You can also manage cookies through your browser.
5. Your rights. Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, port or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact our trust-and-safety team to make a request.
6. Data retention. We retain order, bid, payment and dispute records as required by tax, accounting and dispute regulations. We anonymise or delete other data when no longer required.
7. International transfers. Our infrastructure is hosted globally. Where data is transferred across borders we rely on standard contractual protections.
8. Text messaging (SMS). If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in, GLOBAL TRADE (operated by B&F Global Import-Export LLC) sends you transactional SMS notifications about your own orders, such as order confirmation and delivery updates. Message frequency varies with your order activity, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes; your mobile information is used only to send the order notifications you requested and is disclosed solely to our SMS delivery provider as needed to transmit those messages. Opting in to SMS is not a condition of any purchase.
